China and Hong Kong Ban Poultry from Canada over Bird Flu

China recently announced that it would suspend imports of poultry and poultry products from Canada to prevent the spread of H5N1 bird flu, effective on February 21. Similarly, Hong Kong also said it would ban poultry products from parts of Canada, as well as from Germany and Spain.
