China-Japan Trade/Water Release Dispute Discussed at WTO Committee Meeting

At yesterday's meeting of the WTO Committee on Market Access, Japan raised the issue of restrictions on imports of aquatic products imposed by China, Hong Kong, and Macao in response to Japan's recent discharge of Advanced Liquid Processing System (ALPS)-treated water into the sea, following the nuclear accident in Fukushima in 2011.
