At an EU Parliament hearing yesterday, Commissioner-designate Maroš Šefčovič spoke and took questions from MEPs. China came up several times during the hearing, with overcapacity and geopolitics both discussed, and Šefčovič emphasized that EU trade policy towards China would be "assertive."
