With the Republican party now in control of the U.S. House of Representatives, House Republican leaders have chosen Rep. Jason Smith (R-MO) as Chair of the House Ways and Means Committee, which is the main House Committee with jurisdiction over trade policy. The Chair of the Subcommittee on trade has not yet been selected.
