In letters to the Department of Homeland Security, Chairman John Moolenaar (R-MI) of the House Select Committee on Competition between the U.S. and the CCP and several Republican colleagues called for Chinese battery manufacturers Gotion and CATL to be put on the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) Entity List due to connections between these companies and Chinese paramilitary organizations, slave labor, and the Uyghur genocide.
