A recent paper for the New York branch of the Federal Reserve, titled "Geopolitical Risk and Decoupling: Evidence from U.S. Export Controls," estimated the financial impact of U.S. export controls on the affected U.S. companies to be $857 million on average, with a total of $130 billion in losses across all of the suppliers.
