At a House Ways and Means Trade Subcommittee hearing last week on "Modernizing Customs Policies to Protect American Workers and Secure Supply Chains," several members of Congress continued their push to rethink the de minimis provisions in U.S. law that they say have allowed Chinese goods to avoid tariffs and other U.S. import rules.
