Over the weekend, U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai held a press briefing to discuss U.S.-ASEAN issues, and addressed the nature of the Section 301 tariffs on China as part of this, calling them "rebalancing" tariffs rather than "sanction-related" tariffs.
