WTO's 12th Ministerial Conference Starts with Opening Statements from China, Other Major Trading Powers

On June 12, the WTO's 12th Ministerial Conference kicked off. Officials from China, the United States, the European Union, and other WTO Member all made remarks. While they all expressed support for the multinational trading system, they each emphasized different areas in which they believed the WTO should focus on moving forward.
